The British-Brazilian Discussion Group on Entrepreneurship organised by the British Consulate in Brazil and C.E.S.A.R. (Recife's Center for Advanced Studies and Systems) aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience on the topic of “How to create innovation and lead it to entrepreneurship”, making a path for future collaboration among all participant institutions.
Technology transfer offices and entrepreneurship centres in the UK were invited to take part on the event, as well as local companies from the Porto Digital cluster.
C.E.S.A.R (www.cesar.org.br) is a private non-profit center for fuelling innovation in information technology composed of around 600 associates. Its mission is to encourage collaboration between society and the academia in a self-sustainable way to produce innovative IT solutions. In 2004, the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded C.E.S.A.R with the title of the most Innovative Research Institute in Brazil.
